Can we meet you? Who is Emmanuel Ozor?

My name is Emmanuel Ozor, I’m an artist and when I’m not creating art, I work as an Agricultural Engineer at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD). I am 33 years old, and I hail from Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

Have you always wanted to be an artist? How did your journey as an artist begin and how has it been so far?

My interest in art kicked off at an early age. I used to watch a lot of cartoons, then, try to draw them on paper. I finally decided that I wanted to be an artist/creator because I had all these big ideas I wanted to let out of my mind, and show to the world. And yeah, the journey so far has been productive. My art is out there now for the world to see, and it can only get better.

What 3 things does anyone starting in this industry need to know?

  • You must have a stable job where you have a consistent income and allows you to focus on your projects. If not, you will have to work as a freelance illustrator to make a living.
  • Study art fundamentals like anatomy, perspective, force, colour theory, and basic observation. Plus find who or what inspires you.
  • Know why you want to enter this industry

If I want to buy any of your works, how do I go about it?
