movies you should watch

We have a long weekend ahead of us, and there will be time to catch up on some movies.

Take a look at some movies you should watch this holiday.
Irreplacable you

Irreplaceable You

My intention is not to depress you, but “Irreplaceable You” is a movie that makes you stop to think for a bit. It is a 2018 American romantic comedy with a drizzle of tragedy. It was released by Netflix, directed by Stephanie Laing, and written by Bess Wohl. The main message of the movie is “Don’t focus on what-ifs but on what is”.  I don’t want to give too much away, but you should definitely see this.

Raya and the Last Dragon

This 2021 Disney animated film emphasizes the importance of overcoming prejudice to find common ground. The man character in the movie exhibits courage, teamwork, and perseverance. Something we can and should all exhibit. It’s a good watch, and kids can watch it too.

To All the Boys: Always and Forever

If you’re a romantic, this one is for you. This is the third and final movie of the “To All the Boys I Loved Before” series. One major takeaway from this movie is, Don’t end things abruptly now because you don’t want to get hurt in the future

Citation

Citation is a 2020 Nigerian film directed by Kunle Afolayan. A bright student in Nigeria takes on the academic establishment when she reports a popular professor who tried to rape her. What’s really most touching about this movie is the fact that it is based on real-life events. It highlights the menace that plagues Nigerian tertiary institutions. Definitely worth watching.

Wishing you an amazing celebration. I’m hoping these movies would make the long weekend even more interesting. Happy Celebrations!
